Software Installation (Workstation)

The Edge software must be installed on each PC that you intend to use.  The same installation software is used for every computer.  Though there are no restrictions on the number of times you can install The Edge software, there is a limit to how many PCs can simultaneously access the software.  This limit is defined by the number of workstation licenses you purchase.  Additional workstation licenses can be added at any time; contact our Sales Department for more information. Before the installer launches, it may require you to install necessary software prerequisites.  The Edge will provide prompts to download and install them. 

 

The download folder is NOT where The Edge database will reside.  It is the location of The Edge installation files.

           

To install The Edge on any workstation for the first time:

 

1.  Run the executable file EdgeSetup.msi

2.  Select Next to launch The Edge installer.  The Edge installer will appear.

3.  Unless otherwise instructed, accept the default installation location and select Next.   

4.  Click on Install to proceed with installation.  Installation will proceed and you will be prompted when it is complete.
