In The Edge, stones and their related details (e.g., shape, clarity, color) are stored in customizable predefined drop-down lists. Stone lists are system lists by default, but can be changed to suit the store’s needs. We do not recommend changing the short value of any existing stone record without consulting The Edge Support Team.
These stone detail drop-down lists can be unique to a particular type of stone or shared among a variety of stone types (e.g., colored stone details may be common for emeralds, rubies, amethysts).
The following sections detail adding new stone types and reveal how stone details are linked to stone types. It is recommended that you review all sections before changing stone type or stone detail lists.
